Guilty Pleasure Blogging
I know you haven’t heard from me since I was in shock over Michael Johns’ departure, but gosh darn it if American Idol didn’t completely restore my faith in their show- by crowning David Cook, perhaps the worthiest Idol ever.

The finale show rocked. I enjoyed it all, especially the winning moment for David. It was better than last year’s moment, better even than Fantasia’s (and that was my favorite one until now).
David Cook has definitely stepped up the game for all future American Idols. This is no longer a glorified Karaoke contest, people. This is about talent - finally.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely is, hands down, my favorite celebrity fragrance ever. A delicious blend of Mandarin, Rosewood, Lavender, Apple Martini (!) and Bergamot, it comes in a pretty bottle and, at $35.99 for a 3.4 oz. bottle of Eau de Parfum, is not too expensive.
If that’s not really your thing, you might want to check out the other players in Yahoo!’s Top Ten Celebrity Fragrances:
- Glow after Dark by Jennifer Lopez
- L (L.A.M.B) by Gwen Stefani
- Instinct by David Beckham
- Baby Phat Goddess by Kimora Lee Simmons
- Unforgivable by P Diddy
- Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker
- With Love by Hilary Duff
- Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton
- Fantasy by Britney Spears
- Danielle by Danielle Steel
Okay, so I was ticked off that my guy Chris Sligh was sent home. Then Gina went home last week, and I was even more upset. No more girl rocker!
But, you see, I’m back blogging. Tonight, American Idol’s “Latino Night”, was fun for me. Highlights included:
Melinda throwing it right back at Simon: “I’m happy because I think he really wanted to say something bad and I’m glad he had the chance.” You go, girl! And…
Blake just owning the evening with a sexy rendition of “I Need to Know”, a song I didn’t know- but, apparently, needed to. I’m all about Blake now. Blake! Blake! Blake!
Sanjaya doing quite well with “Besame Mucho”, one of the greatest songs of all time. Yes, I said Sanjaya! Please give the guy a break. He can sing.
