Am I the only one who thinks so?
Of course Dilana rocked tonight. Zayra’s performance left me pleasantly surprised. Didn’t like Jill. Didn’t think Ryan was that bad, either (although I could have done without the cheesy smile). If I lived at the Rockstar Mansion, I’d probably hang out with Storm and (of course) Dilana.
Rocked: Toby, Dilana, Phil
Sucked: Jill, Zayra, Chris
The others were just… eh.
Heh. Goodbye, Matt. You were done in by the “all-important song selection”. I loved how my boyfriend Jason Newsted reacted when he heard Duran Duran.
Dilana encored, of course.
I like this show. It’s not Idol, and it’s sorely missing a Simon Cowell, but it’ll do for now.
Storm Large (what a great name) opens the show with Pinball Wizard. She’s okay, but in my opinion became instantly forgettable when Ryan Star (another great name!) performs Iris, one of the greatest songs ever written, and performs it well.
Next up is Toby Rand, who rocks out Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door. Then, Patrice sings Somebody to Love, Magni does Satisfaction, and Zayra does Bring Me to Life. Yawn, yawner, yawnest.
Jenny’s How You Remind Me is okay. I really enjoyed Josh’s She Talks to Angels, but that might be more because of the song than the singer. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the same way about Matt’s Yellow although it’s one of my favorite songs ever.
And then- Dilana. Lithium. I love her. End the show right now, and give her the job, I say.

Of course I miss American Idol, but in the meantime RockStar Supernova is upon us and I’m thrilled! Not so much about Tommy Lee and the new rockers, just more to see Jason Newsted, whose image graced my bedroom door throughout my teen years. I LOVE him.
Look for more RockStar posts soon…
